Identifying reusable abstract data types in code

The basic aim of this thesis is to analyse the state of the art in the field of the software reuse Software reuse is widely regarded as offering the opportunity for improving the software production process. It is expected that a massive increase in software reuse is the most promising way of overcoming the software crisis. It can lead to substantial increases in productivity and also to software systems which are more robust and more reliable. A Reuse Re-engineering process together with techniques from reverse engineering represent a method to achieve software reuse. A reference paradigm is established to implement the Reuse Re-engineering process. The reference paradigm is composed of five sequential phases, each characterised by the object it produces. This thesis deals mainly with the first phase of the reference paradigm. This phase is called Candidature and it is concerned with the analysis of the source code for the identification of sets of software components that can be candidate to make up a reusable component. Various methods involved in this phase exist in the literature. Each of them has different characteristic and different qualities. One of these approaches is analysed and it is extended in the new method to give a more precise set of reusable abstract data types. In this thesis the new method is presented. A formalisation followed by implementation of it and an evaluation of its quality through quality attributes is given

A Literature Review of Business/IT Alignment Strategies

AbstractIn the last years, the alignment issue was addressed in several researches and numerous methods, techniques and tools were proposed. Indeed, the business and IT performance are tightly coupled, and enterprises cannot be competitive if their business and IT strategies are not aligned. This paper proposes a literature review useful for evaluating different alignment approaches, with the aim of discovering similarity, maturity, capability to measure, model, asses and evolve the alignment level existing among business and technological assets of an enterprise. The proposed framework is applied to analyse the alignment research published in the Information & Management journal and the Journal of Strategic Information Systems, that are the ones that more published on this topic. Abstract Software documentation is a basic component of the software development process and it is very important in all the phases of a software system life cycle. It is plays a very important role from the point of view of both the software engineer and user. Software documentation usually includes textual documentation required by the Software engineering standards, API documentation, Wiki pages and source code comments. Surveys and studies indicate that the documentation is not always available and, if available, only partially addresses the developers' needs, as it is often wrong, incomplete, out-of-date and ambiguous. In the context of ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning, the relevance of the software documentation is even more important due to the complexity of such a kind of software systems and the strategic role they have within operative organizations. This paper focuses on the quality assessment of the documentation of ERP open source systems with the aim of understanding if they include high quality documentation for adequately support anyone want to adopt them and/or executing maintenance activities. AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR: NURSE-PATIENT RELATIONSHIP IN MENTAL HEALTH SETTING

Background: Mental disorder is known to be as a loss of existential paradigm; individual’s functioning is lacking in all areas. Therefore, it is difficult to point out what the patients exactly need because their needs are set on a broad range of a difficult boundary. The level of care that follows will be complex and multifactorial because nursing will challenge the interaction with the individual as a whole: behaviors and relations with family members. At this stage exploring interpersonal conflicts, with past and present aggression behaviors will be crucial. Subjects and methods: Aim of this paper is to investigate the professional experience in a work context where the patient\u27s clinical condition poses a daily challenge from a physical and emotional perspective. Narrative investigation is performed here in order to explore the psychological load of the professional\u27s psychological experience and its implication in facing aggressive situations. Moreover, this investigation highlights the importance of some professional and personal resources that can be made available to the operator. Results: These tools could improve the understanding of the subjective experience of acute events guiding the individual through an exploration of the phenomenology of what happened decreasing the intimate stress load. Conclusions: A constant updating, the knowledge of de-escalation techniques and sharing the experience in dedicated settings could be important allies in the management of risk events

O dramaturgo e encenador santista Carlos Alberto Soffredini foi um nome importante dentro do contexto teatral brasileiro no que concerne a vertente de experimentações de estética e linguagem a partir das teatralidades populares brasileiras – embora sua obra ainda não tenha recebido a devida atenção por parte da classe artística e acadêmica da área.
